Catrina Davies è da tempo una vera dj. Dopo la sua partecipa- zione al Gf, ha fatto una scelta precisa: la tv è solo un ricordo, le sue energie le dedica solo e soltanto alla musica. E che musi- ca! Dalla console, col suo sound house – commerciale, un suono eclettico che mescola sempre ritmo e melodia, fa ballare i migliori locali europei e non solo. In Italia, ad esempio, spesso è all’Old Fashion di Milano, al Circus di Brescia, al Lidò le Panteraie di Montecatini (Pt), all’Occhi Occhi Occhi Oh di Napoli e pure al Rio Bo di Gallipoli (Le). A Mosca collabora con We Are Family, una delle organizzazioni più forti in città, mentre ogni anno a marzo è tra le protagoniste del Winter Music Conference di Miami. Inol- tre, come se non bastasse, Catrina con la sua musica spesso fa muovere party legati a Fashion Tv e a brand d’importanza as- soluta (beverage, moda). La vita della dj gallese è in costante movimento, ed è tutta dedicata alla musica. Dietro a tanti risultati c’è passione vera e tanto lavoro. In studio ci va davvero, spesso con Raf Marchesini. A differenza di alcune colleghe che puntano solo sull’immagine, infatti, Catrina è anche producer e remixer e i suoi dischi stanno iniziando a fare capolino nelle borse di tanti colleghi italiani e non. Quello che colpisce subito di Catrina Da- vies, inutile negarlo, è una presenza mozzafiato. Dopo un attimo però arriva la sua energia scatenata, la sua capacità di dare la carica ai club. Dietro al mixer Catrina balla, ride, canta, salta e trasforma ogni set in un vero show perfetto per far saltare ogni dancefloor! Anche la selezione musicale (mai troppo spinta e sempre originale, ha iniziato in Galles mixando reggae, hip hop & r’n’b) è pensata per il divertimento di chi balla, non per dare sfoggio d’una cultura musicale che Catrina sa bene di avere.
